Necrotic lower molar in the absence of caries.
The patient had recently undergone periodontal curettage.
The reason for the necrosis was probably related to the presence of a lateral canal at the level of the periodontal lesion.
In this case, Fillroot was chosen to provide an adequate seal in the presence of conservative access and a 04 taper preparation.
The fluidity of the material allows easy filling of the lateral canals, and its radiopacity allows visualization on X-ray.
Patient referred for endodontic treatment of tooth 17 showing a significant carious lesion. In this case, the access was made following the course of the caries.
The tooth was treated with martensitic instruments with a .04 taper and irrigated with activated NaOCl and EDTA.
In this case, the choice of a cold obturation technique with Fillroot is linked to the practicality of the technique itself.
Especially in cases where a "classic" access is not performed, in my opinion, the single cone with hydraulic cement allows to obtain an excellent seal more easily than other obturation methods.
