Ortho Form

Thermoformable plates

Applications

Ortho Form rigid and soft thermoplastic discs for all types of processing such as whitening trays, bruxism splints, TMJ applications, retention trays, etc.

Directions

Here are a few pointers for optimal thermoforming:

  • For the models we recommend the use of a class III plaster.
  • Avoid using plasters that are too hard (they will cause the model to break when detached).
  • For good detail, the plaster must have excellent air permeability.
  • The plaster model must not be wet at all, at most it may be damp
  • In the case of tall models, it is advisable to reduce them with a model square, or immerse them in steel balls so that only the part to be thermoformed comes out.
  • Eliminate any bubbles caused by the casting of the plaster
  • Evaluate the technical/physical characteristics of thermoplastic sheets before use
